Estelle & thild - face cream sensitive skin (review)

Estelle & Thild face cream sensitive
Estelle & Thild face cream sensitive

I simply adore this brand Estelle & Thild. This is a swedish brand and their philosophy is the following:
Estelle & Thild is a company seeking to improve and influence beauty. The Swedish skincare brand combines the highest quality organic ingredients with real effects and results. The company was founded in 2007 by Pernilla Rönnberg and is named for her daughters, Estelle and Mathilde, who also inspired her to develop the next generation of skincare.
The entire philosophy is based on pure content, which means using nature’s most exclusive oils and extracts to boost skin with vitamins, antioxidants and essential fatty acids to create optimal results. In addition to offering excellent skincare, the company wants to protect the next generation, and each product is certified organic in accordance with strict Ecocert regulations.
Now, isn't that a great philosophy? I bought this fragrance free daycream a while ago when my skin was "all over the place". However, my boyfriend, who has some skinproblems himself, was in need of a sensitive and moisturizing cream and quickly this cream ended up on his side of the bathroomcabinet. It lasted him quit a long time and did help him. However, he probably needs to bring out the big guns to really eliminate his extremely dry skin. Me on the other hand, sometimes normal, sometimes combination, and sometimes dry found that this was to much for me. It really made my forehead, well everything but matte.

But I really want to recommend this product. First of all I love to promote swedish good brands that really keep up their promises. Second of all ecological and natural products really is the way to goo, as far as I'm concerned. I don't necessarily always want or need to buy ecological but I do think it's important to really be aware of the ingredients you are putting on your delicate skin.
This daycream is gentle and is said to restore the skin's natural balance and protective barriers. It contains, among other things, almond oil, soothing aloe vera and vanilla. I would higly recommend this product.

Parabens, mineral oils, sodium laurel/laureth sulphate (SLS), urea, diethanolamine (DEA), triethanolamine (TEA), synthetic emulsifiers (e.g. polyethylene glycol or PEG), dyes or other unnecessary additives.

I love that they don't use mineral oils because I really dislike it and much thanks to Caroline Hiron never ever want to buy products containing that ingredient. A discussion about mineral oil will be another day!

Avéne soothing moisture mask - review

When talking about skincare I realized I haven't reviewed this gem for you guys. This is moisture mask from the french skincare brand Avéne. This brand is also to be found in the Swedish pharmacy.

This is a holy grale products for me. I always have to have one in my bathroom or else all hell break loose.

On to the product.
This is a mask for sensitive, dry and irritated skin. It contains Avéne thermal spring water and has a hydrating, soothing and calming effect on the skin. My boyfriend has some skinproblems and when he feels stressed out he gets dry patches on his face. When slapping some of this on all the dryness goes away. This mask restores the skins balance leaving it silky smooth. This mask should be applied generously in a thick layer for about 15 minutes. Rising is not needed, you could simply just tissue off any excess. Should you be very dry, for example in the wintesmonths or after sunbathing to heavily, you could also use a slightly tinner layer all over your face and use it a over-night mask.

All in all, this is a holy grail product. It's divine, wonderful and something i recommend to everyone.

And the price is fantastic!!!!
219 kr/ 50 ml

Grade: 5/5 (how did I ever survive before this baby!?)

VICHY Pureté thermale soft & soothing toner - review

After completley ditching hard and strong faceproducts aimed at acneprone skin, and instead turning towards porducts for sensitive skin, my skin has improved drastically.
Today I have one zit but that's it. I still have acnescaring but the skin itself is so calm. I don't use toner as regularly as other faceproducts but I was trying out a rubbish cleanser which made me feel the need to ad a toner to my regime.

This toner is from the wonderful brand Vichy, which is sold in the swedish pharmacy. This is a paraben free toner for dry and sensitive skin. It contains thermal spa water from Vichy and is dermatologically tested. Another real important thing to be aware of if you have acneprone skin is to never use products containing alcohol. Which this god send products ofcourse does not.

Grade: 5/5 (we're talking holy grail product)
